Gedas called today while I was working and said they are planning to meet with Laurynas at his place to tie some flies. I was not going to miss such a good chance to learn. Even though I didn’t have any fly tying equipment yet, I joined them with my photo camera to see how to properly tie Elk Hair Caddis, Spider, Gnat and Red Tags. There are lots of flies that are tied the same way for some centuries without usage of conventional synthetic  materials and are super effective. These flies do have their own histories and Laurynas knows lots of those histories.

Meeting was interesting and useful as we learned new things and now want to check them practically. Also I found out one new river and as per stories – places there are beautiful and inhabited by  brownies. We’ll check with Laurynas tomorrow if it’s true.
